1-2-3: GUILD’S MAP
These are the maps of the Guild House. I draw them when I was in Munich for my work, and I had problem to send them to my editor, because I haven’t any scanner
4: EMERGED WORLD MAP
This is the map that I sent to Mondadori with the Chronicles manuscript. It took a month to finish it. I draw it on wrapping paper, because it was the most similar thing to papyrus that I had in my house. It is too big ti scanner it, so I had to bend it in four parts and scanner each of them individually. Then, I put them together using Photoshop. A helluva job, considering that I’m not very good with Photoshop.
5: NIHAL
A first sketch of Nihal. In those days I drew her everywhere, trying, unsuccessfully, to catch her restless face
6: SYMBOL
The definitive sketch of the symbol for Dubhe’s curse. I used an old book of technical design to correctly draw the pentacle
7: SENNAR
Sennar’s sketch. I have few drawings of him; I’m not good with masculin characters, and I was more interested in drawing Nihal. I’m not pleased with this sketch; Sennar is not so gorgeous
8: FIRST SKETCH FOR UNKNOWN LANDS
A first sketch for the Unknown Lands. In those days I still called them New Lands. I had not much time to draw, so it is a map not as good as the Emerged World one. All the erased notes were about the geography of this place
9: MAP DRAWN BY IDO
This is the sketch of the Unknown Lands that Ido makes for Lonerin. I used the brown pencil to fake sanguigna pencil. I copied an ancient map for the web to make the sketch as credible as possibile, but I think that it simply seems a badly done drawing
10: UNKNOWN LANDS MAP
The definitive map for the Unknown Lands. I still don’t understand why I used drawing pens to color it, the final result is ugly
11: NOTES FOR THE CHRONICLES OF THE EMERGED WORLD
These are first notes for Chronicles fo the Emerged World. At those days I hand wrote using a Mikey Mouse’s diary. I wrote on it the first chapters too, then I realized that it took less using the computer. At those days I wanted to write the book in first person as Nihal, an old lady that told about her past.
